Portrait Photography

It starts with conversations, questions, trying to understand the individual personally & professionally & how I can support them with photography. We discuss confidence & any access issues and try to design a shoot that allows them express themselves confidently. Exploring identity, feminism and creating empowering experiences that make them (anyone) feel calm and confident in who they are and make it visible.

A pregnant woman struggling to feel powerful and powerful with her changing body.
A man exploring his discomfort with his own masculinity, playing with gender & dress up.
A female tech leader feeling disempowered in a male dominated industry.
A young creative uncertain of their personal brand, inexperienced with having their photograph taken.
A therapist with great style, a quirky approach & a wish to attract women of the same ilk.

Birmingham Bull Ring. In collaboration with Beatfreeks, I was commissioned as an Artist for The Festival of Audactiy. The young people were asked, “what does audacity mean to you?”

Whether documenting real life, brand, lifestyle. weddings, or working on larger curated productions. Story-telling and creating powerful imagery that tells the viewer what they will experience when buying into a brand or person fascinates me. I would love to apply this to the rural community, to tell the stories I uncover without a commission or brief.
